This week I finally got around to doing something that has been on my to-do list for a long time. I converted all of Maya's hole-in-the-knee pants into super cute jean skirts! She was extremely excited when she saw them because she hates getting rid of any of her clothes (it's a problem) and this way she can still wear some of her favorite pants for a long time. :) She also likes skirts much better then pants or shorts, so this was a no brainer! It was really easy to do, I just cut off the jeans right above the knee. Then I ripped the inseam and sewed a patch of fabric from the pant leg that I cut off in the front and the back. When I was all done I washed them so they would fray evenly, and that was it! Some of my seams could have been a bit straighter, but other then that I think they look pretty dang cute. They were pretty quick to knock out too, taking me less then an hour a piece. Add that to the fact that I was watching TV the whole time and it was not a bad way to spend an afternoon. :) Maya was very kind as to let me taker her picture in one of them, isn't she sweet?
